Innova3D started in a small Chennai workshop with a single printer and one stubborn idea — that a toy could be art, and that art could move.
Chapter 01
From a single spool.
We started in 2022 with one Bambulab printer, a half-empty bedroom, and a list of flexi toy designs we wanted to try. The first dragon took 14 hours to print and broke twice. The second took 12 and survived.
By the end of the first year we were sold out every weekend at Chennai markets. Kids would pick up a flexi dragon and their eyes would go wide. Parents would ask, “wait, it's one piece?” — and we'd nod and hand them one in lime green.
Today we have six printers running around the clock, a proper workshop, and a growing catalog of 24 designs spanning animals, sea creatures, anime, and original characters. Every toy is still printed on demand. Every toy is still quality-checked by a real human before it leaves.
Chapter 02
Print-in-place magic.
A flexi toy is a strange, wonderful thing. A dragon with forty articulated segments comes off the printer already assembled. No glue. No hinges. No screws. The joints are designed into the print itself — clearances so small you'd need a caliper to measure them.
It means we can't cut corners. One layer shifted by 0.2mm and the whole thing fuses into a solid brick. A temperature swing of five degrees and the joints crack. Each print is an 8-to-18-hour commitment with no second chances.
